Taco Lettuce Wraps

These Taco Lettuce Wraps are a fresh and lighter spin on classic tacos! Packed with all the bold flavors and toppings you love, they’re served in crisp lettuce leaves instead of tortillas for a delicious, low-carb twist.
INGREDIENTS:
For the Taco Meat
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small yellow onion
2 cloves garlic; finely chopped
1 pound lean ground beef
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup tomato sauce
Church Brothers Farms Petite Romaine Lettuce Boats; washed and patted dry
Toppings
Shredded cheese
Shredded lettuce
Diced onions
Diced avocado (or guacamole)
Cilantro
Salsa
Sour cream
Instructions:
Heat oil in a large frying pan or cast iron over high heat. Add onion and cook for 2–3 minutes or until lightly golden and translucent. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds longer.
Add in ground beef and break it up into smaller pieces. Add in all of the seasonings and stir. Cook until the meat is no longer pink, about 7 minutes.
Add in tomato sauce and cook for another 3-5 minutes or until the meat is completely cooked.
Scoop taco meat into the lettuce leaves, top with your favorite taco toppings and serve. Enjoy!
