Location: Salinas, CA and Yuma, AZ
Pay Range: $21.00 + DOE
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Cold Room Rotator is responsible for rotating pallets from the production lines into the finished goods cold room
ESSENTIAL Functions Required:
Ensure all finished products in the cold room are properly rotated according to established code dates.
Turn in all pallet tags to Gatekeepers for accounting purposes.
Ensure all pallets entering the warehouse are properly stacked and palletized and have the appropriate Famous Tag ID.
Organize and properly stack all partial pallets based on code dates, product, and Famous IDs.
Maintain a clean and organized cold room and follow the 18-inch perimeter requirement.
Handle multiple tasks and priorities on a daily basis.
Communicate any safety or mechanical issues as they arise.
Complete daily forklift inspection reports.
Follow all instructions, procedures, safety requirements, and Company policies.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent
A minimum of one (1) year forklift operator experience
Work Environment:
The work environment includes regular exposure to a refrigerated food manufacturing facility with temperatures ranging from approximately 34°F to 36°F, routine exposure to the smell of chlorine, heavy machinery, forklift traffic, and loud noise. The position may also involve occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, regular exposure to an indoor, environmentally controlled office setting, and occasional exposure to an indoor warehouse that is not environmentally controlled.
