Inventory Systems Supervisor

Location: Salinas, CA & Yuma, AZ
Pay Range: $75,600 + DOE
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Responsible for all daily functions, reporting, scheduling, and performance of the Inventory Systems Department, including the Inventory, Rotators, OP Receivers, and Gatekeeping crews.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Inventory Systems Manager in establishing policies and procedures for the Inventory Systems Department.
Ensure timely and accurate receipts in both the Church Brothers and True Leaf systems of record.
Work closely with the Accounting Department on inventory-related transactions and reporting.
Work closely with Shipping to ensure proper rotation is followed and maintain daily communication.
Ensure safety training is completed for all Inventory Systems personnel.
Ensure the accuracy of Finished Goods and Raw Product inventories.
Oversee the Inventory Department’s daily functions.
Oversee Inventory Systems personnel schedules and overtime.
Maintain cold room organization and general warehousing standards.
Maintain a properly rotated warehouse (FIFO).
Ensure daily communication with Sales regarding aged product and follow direction based on that communication.
Reduce or eliminate finished dumps.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of production yields in the True Leaf system.
Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring all required safety features are present in the warehouse.
Conduct weekly training with the crew on day-to-day issues as well as procedural updates.
EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum education required: Associate degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Required: Minimum of 3–5 years of supervisory experience, including inventory management, counting, and reporting, and/or 2 years with the company with hands-on training for the position.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a good working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications. Experience and proficiency in database software is a plus.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Team player who exceeds assigned responsibilities and assists others in meeting objectives.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver technical information in an easily understood manner across all departments.
Willingness and ability to work occasional long and irregular hours, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Able to travel/relocate to and from Yuma, AZ, as required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
WORK ENVIORNMENT:
Routine exposure to a cold and wet manufacturing environment (34–36°F), the smell of chlorine and/or other industrial chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, heavy machinery, forklift traffic, and loud noise.
Some exposure to a business-casual office environment involving extensive use of office equipment, such as computers and telephones.
