Receiving Manager

Reports to: Director of Inbound Logistics
Location: San Juan Bautista, CA & Yuma, AZ
Pay: $80,000 - $90,000
Summary: The Receiving Manager oversees the operation of the cooling process for all TLF facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:
- Work closely with harvest teams to ensure trucks get loaded with materials required & don’t leave the yard empty, monitors outbound material trucks times to ensure they leave the facility without delay
- Implement training material for Cooling procedures based on commodity specifications
- Train all new employees on proper operation of the Hydro Vac Tube
- Schedule maintenance and repair on all cooling equipment as needed
- Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion
- Maintains required records and documentation
- Forecast Incoming loads: Utilize existing info to project inbound trucking volume (reefers, open trucks, tractors) to better manage receiving, space, cooling and orders
- Coordinate and prioritize workflow of all incoming raw product for cooling
- Number of accidents- promotes safety in order to reduce accidents
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum Education required: Associate Degree, BS degree preferred
- Required: Minimum 3 – 6 years in logistics/cooling Supervisory experience
Computer Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good working knowledge of other Microsoft Office software.
- Experience and proficiency in database software a plus.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Team player who is exceed assigned responsibilities and assist others to reach objectives
- Strong oral and written communications skills to deliver technical information in an easily understood manner across all departments
- Willingness and ability to work occasional long and sometimes irregular hours including working night shifts, weekends and holiday hours
Other Qualifications:
- Able to travel and relocate as required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Famous software knowledge required
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to a cold (34-36 degrees F) and wet
manufacturing environment, the smell of chlorine, outside weather conditions, uneven walking surfaces, heavy
machinery, forklift traffic and loud noise.
