Pay Range: $22+ DOE
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Oversee the scheduling and coordination of Walmart shipments for perishable goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to customers. Serve as the primary point of contact for Walmart, facilitating smooth communication and providing accurate, timely updates on delivery status. Dispatch Walmart orders to contracted carriers immediately upon order entry to ensure prompt coverage and avoid delays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedule Walmart deliveries promptly upon order placement to secure a delivery appointment for the expected arrival date of the product.
Dispatch Walmart loads to carriers immediately upon receipt to ensure timely coverage and prevent any potential coverage issues.
Track Walmart orders to ensure on-time delivery (OTD) and provide status updates to Walmart twice daily, in the morning and afternoon.
Proactively identify and address shipping issues, including delays, shortages, or damages, by coordinating with the carrier, sales, and customer.
Liaise with customers, resolve issues, and build positive relationships by demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Maintain regular communication with Walmart to provide updates on delivery status, manage expectations, and build strong relationships.
Analyze data trends and patterns to improve forecasting, inventory management, and transportation planning.
Ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing and reporting on large volumes of data.
Evaluate and track carrier performance; work with carriers to resolve any issues, ensuring high service levels.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and enhance overall service quality.
EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel for tracking and reporting purposes.
1–2 years of related experience in logistics, warehouse, inventory control, or transportation preferred but not required.
Familiarity with inventory management systems or warehouse management software (WMS) a plus.
Experience working with shipping/receiving documents and basic recordkeeping preferred.
Basic understanding of supply chain processes (order flow, shipping methods, delivery schedules).
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays and evenings as required by operational needs.
Ability to perform computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; solve practical problems by applying mathematical techniques such as formulas and percentages.
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet required attendance schedules.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
Skilled in solving problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and to write simple correspondence.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

General work schedule M-F 6am – 3pm, Saturdays as needed 6am – 11am. (Note working schedule is subject to change based on operational needs)
