Pay Range: $22.50 + DOE

Shift: Day Shift 


GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 

A production crew lead is responsible for coordinating and supervising the day-to-day operation of the production floor while ensuring a safe and efficient approach. The role connects the gap between the supervisors and our hourly workforce.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee day to day operation of the production floor while assigning tasks and ensuring the most efficient run rates.

  • Set performance goals by work area while evaluating regular performance and guide towards productivity and quality improvement

  • Strong communication within the production department

  • Train new team members in a safe and productive way to execute their duties.

  • Job understanding of different roles and responsibilities throughout the facility to increase run time with minimal operational downtime.

  • Workflow adjustment as needed based on raw product and headcount availability.

  • Monitor processing and packaging activities during the workday including observation of the crews to maintain productivity and quality.

  • Ensure quality standards are met; product standards (size, infestation, mold, mildew, rot, dirt); packaging standards (bag and box).

  • Ensure that materials are put away at end of shifts — bins in cold rooms, hand stacked cases to cold room and boxes are returned to mezzanine.

  • Understanding of lbs processed for proper calculations of raw inventory to avoid miscounts and correct schedule completed.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Strong knowledge of production processes and machinery operation.

  • Communication and team player skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities on the spot.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.

  • 5+ years of hands on production experience.
