Hourly Rate: $21.50+ (DOE)
Location: San Juan Bautista, CA & Yuma, AZ
Employment Type: Year round, full time
SUMMARY: This role provides essential support to the Production Supervisor by assisting with the supervision and timely execution of tasks. Responsibilities include monitoring production processes to uphold quality standards and implementing and enforcing safety procedures to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a safe work area.
Report machinery problems immediately to maintenance and your supervisor.
Operate all production lines in your department (up to 2 washes simultaneously).
Accurately document lost time in the red zone.
Communicate respectfully and lead staff, ensuring efficient line operations.
Monitor yields and report any instances of product spillage.
Maintain good communication with other departments, such as Quality Assurance, Gatekeepers, Maintenance, and Scheduling.
Be knowledgeable about all varieties and cuts in your department.
Conduct meetings with your staff as needed.
Proficiently use the NiceLabel program.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Experience in the field is not required; however, familiarity with machinery or related knowledge is preferred

Ability to read and follow schedules
Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, ect.

Strong oral and written communication skills to deliver technical information in an easily understood manner across all departments
Team player who will exceed assigned responsibilities and assist others to reach objectives
Have good attendance and punctuality
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to a cold (34-36 degrees F) and wet manufacturing environment, the smell of chlorine, outside weather conditions, uneven walking surfaces, heavy machinery, forklift traffic and loud noise.
Position will require seasonal travel/relocation to Yuma, AZ.
