Church Brothers Farms is launching two products and featuring new packaging at Fresh Summit 2016 booth 1029.
The Salinas, Calif.-based company has developed a value-added broccoli stem product that reduces food waste and increase grower yields, Kori Tuggle, vice president of marketing, said in a news release.
“Our partners are excited about the convenience these items bring to their operations. Both save labor and food waste,” she said.
Church Brothers Farms is also unveiling cleaned and cored Redy-Pep peppers at Fresh Summit. The value-added bell peppers have the top and seeds removed for consistent quality, size uniformity and convenience, according to the company, which reports longer shelf life than traditional peppers. It can be stored from 34 to 38 degrees.
New packaging to be displayed at the trade show Oct. 14-16 in Orlando, Fla., highlights a redesign of retail club-size clamshells and poly bags with the True Leaf Farms brand.
The company will also showcase its organic tender leaf product line and most recent blends, Kale Color Crunch and Baby Kale Medley, plus its full line of commodities and value-added packs for foodservice and retail.
