Reports to: Facilities Manager
Summary: Electrician is responsible for the maintenance, repair and replacement of all electrical equipment, systems, and facilities, including but not limited to refrigeration and packaging equipment. Electrician will participate in the Continual Improvement Program in long and short term efforts to maximize product quality and increase production of products manufactured in the plant. These efforts including design and project management and any other task assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Salad manufacturing experience to include a thorough understanding of Ishida scales, Pac Mac baggers, various drying and processing equipment.
Possess a working knowledge of SCADA networks, Refrigeration system controls and water sanitation systems and panels.
Knowledge and application of current electrical codes
Data entry on Calibration Test Records and assisting with calibration scheduling.
Order parts as required to repair equipment.
Trouble shoots and repairs production and plant electrical/electronic equipment.
Assists with plant audits.
Trains peers and mechanics on equipment supported by the Instrument Shop.
Makes recommendations on equipment upgrade.
Designs, order parts and installs machine modification.
Assists with plant safety programs and safety awareness.
Education and/or Experience
Required: Associates degree or Master Electricians Certification. Required: 2 years or more experience in facilities and Maintenance Management Repair within a produce processing plant or related manufacturer. Preferred: 5 or more years as an electrician in a produce processing plant.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good working knowledge of other Microsoft Office software. Experience and proficiency in database software a plus, Proficient in MP2 required.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to a cold (34-36 degrees F) and wet manufacturing environment, the smell of chlorine, outside weather conditions, uneven walking surfaces, heavy machinery, forklift traffic and loud noise.
